This is so pretty! Did you colour it with pencils?
Thanks Hashi! I used watercolor pencils and then I applied a bit of water with a brush. Hope this helps.
Evy — you are the mistress of pen and watercolor pencil!
Oh, I love this!! Funnily enough, one of my resolutions is NOT to draw as many flowers and plants–only because I need to force myself to become more fluent in other subject matter. But my heart is with you, Evy–can’t wait to see your next floral sketch.
I love the delicacy of your drawing–both in the colors and in the lines. SDP
Eefje, such a delightfully airy, soft, delicate breeze of a sketch. I’ve just been gazing at it wondering what exactly makes it so captivating. I’m not sure if its placement, colouring, or …what? but I do know I love visiting your site to see what you’ve been capturing with your pens. Thanks, Susan.
you just keep improving your sketching abilities. this one is so beautiful. I’ve really been enjoying seeing your sketches – the cats, the people, these flowers and leaves. your art supplies. even the television. good working!

Your pen and ink crosshatch is so finely rendered Evy. This is a very
difficult technique to handle. You have done so with a deft handling of the
medium. Good job.
