And I believe Jorge is right about why people may be "harder" to draw. But you have captured the essence of that person at the coffee shop. Writing in the journal or maybe writing a letter. I don't think your lines are too light or hesitant. There is wonderful line quality here and I love the way you have left space in the actual drawing - in the space of the drawing -- for your own thoughts. Overall a wonderful sketch.
