Well, I really thought that I would not make it this week. I am pretty busy at the moment, so lately I have to make extra hours at work. But I persevered, not only work has deadlines, BCF does too!. I drew the line drawing blind in the car this morning. We went to work together and Nor drove the car. So I did blind contour drawings of his profile. However, honestly none of the drawings looks anything like him. I think one of them looks more like a cousin of Shrek. Another one looks like something right out of LOTR. I did have fun. Eventhough it does show that I am bad at drawing people, blind or not. BTW, colors were not applied blind.
And it will be Friday in about 5 minutes…

  1. You did well doing this in a moving car! I think I like them sans colour. They have character.

  3. I love seeing this face done this way–it is like seeing a crowd of the same person, all moving forward and bumping into each other! And I like both the colored and the black and white. This is such an original approach to this week’s challenge!

  4. Thanks all!
Terri: I could do it because there was huge traffic jam on the express way, as usual.
    Peter: bedankt voor het compliment.
Laura: Thanks! I really appreciate your comment.

  5. I like the 4th rendition. They look like megalithic monuments ala Stonehenge + Mt. Rushmore on a grassy hillside. Is your comment regarding your ability to draw people, about capturing likenesses…because your people are great (especially considering they are blind contours).

  6. Hi Lynne, thanks for your comment. I think that I am not very good at drawing people from life in general, capturing likeness in detail.

  7. wonderful! It’s nice to see diffeerent versions and attempts. I like the addition of colour too.
I agree with ly3n, they do look megalithic. Reminds me of the Easter Island statues.
